Update: 5/15 School board officials are saying "It needs to be dropped. You should not do the story."

Carol Kurdell echoed Olson's second response saying, "It's an overblown problem... leave it alone."

Click here to read the full updated story.

A junior at Sickles High School posing in a club photo for the yearbook had her "you know what" accidentially exposed. She was wearing a short dress and no underwear and no one caught the picture until after the yearbooks were printed and distributed to seniors.

Full video story, click here.

What would you do if this were your daughter? Ok nevermind why wasn't she wearing underwear but Ive seen the actual yearbook photo not blurred out and it's a total Brittney Spears flash moment. It's really bad cause she is only 16! Make sure you watch the story but the school board appears to be down playing it but I know that if kids were texting that picture around they would probably be in a lot of trouble!

What do you think should happen?

OMG! Total embarassing moment for her! How sad! That's why I have always been on the girls about sitting the right way in a skirt or dress. Guess her mom never had that conversation with her! Poor thing... dealing with peers at school is hard enough, now with the media picking it up, and the morning talk shows, she is going to deal with alot!

WTH was she thinking NOT wearing underwear?? It's not like that was a long dress. But in her defense who was responsible for the final layout of the yearbook BEFORE it went to print? That's the person that needs to be asked questions. I don't however agree with the school adminitrators saying she just need to come in and deal with the ridicule form students. That is the most absurd thing! I bet if it were one of their daughters the yearbooks would have pulled already!!@

I like the suggestion one of the posters put on TB10 ~ put a black marker thru that area of the pic and hand them out.  You won't be able to see anything and it won't be able to be removed.  No real cost involved...

Very bad choice to avoid panty lines.  There are sooo many other options.  And really who cares if you have panty lines????  I'd rather show my lines than my

What is stopping the kids that have them already from scanning and posting on the internet?  The Mom was not bright in bringing this to the media's attention.  She is the one exploiting her daughter. IMO

One of life's tough lessons. WEAR PANTIES with SKIRTS. maybe not one I ever had to learn the hard way but REALLY? what the hell is a 16 yr doing at school without panties on?

I guess I'll have add that to the list to check before shipping my teenage daughters out the door to school. haha

as far as what I would do. SMACK my daughter for one, and then see if we can get a black line through it. oh well...?

Idk..I think unless the mother of the teen is willing to pay to re-print all of the yearbooks, then the school who is already alcking in money should not be punished.

If you're going to wear a dress keep your legs closed. If you're not going to wear underwear, thats even more important.  I eman COME ON. The girl was an IDIOT for not wearing underwear then not making sure the way she was sitting was going to cover everything.

yeah it prob should ahve been notice....but it wasn't for whatever reason.  There is no defence for wearing a SHORT dress, wearing no underwear and not knowing how to sit like a lady.  And honestly? If the mother had not put it on tv, a LOT of students prob would ahve never even noticed.

I’m a little on the torn side with this. I watched the news story this morning and I felt sorry for her.
With teenagers these days it is hard to live an embarrassing moment down. It is also hard to get them to understand that although this is embarrassing right now, years later they will look back on their embarrassing moments and laugh themselves.
HOWEVER....this is a little different then running into a wall or having gum in your hair all day!!!
I can see the mothers concern, as I would be concerned as well, but the reason for not wearing panties that day is uncalled for. With the line of clothing these days, companies (like Victoria Secrets) offer panties with no lines; a t-back or thong is also available. Even though it would be hard for me to see or know my daughter is wearing a thong (I know how my mother felt) at least I know she was wearing something to hide the other parts!!! Plus what about the whole rule of 'Wear something clean in case you get into an accident?'
Has the mother, herself, seen the photo or is she knowing about it hear-say from her daughter? I think the issue should not be discussed over the phone with the school board, this is an issue that needs to be discussed face-to-face.
AND....It is hard for me to believe that the school board did not want her talking to the media (which is another issue I have with this story!!) If the mother (and daughter) were concerned with her reputation wouldn't you think they would be a little more careful about letting their feelings known? Such as talking with the school board directly and not going straight to the media? Not sure how helpful the media would be in protecting her privacy and reputation!
WOW....I hope this all works out for her!

As a former member of my senior yearbook staff, those books are checked, checked and checked again before sent to the printers..... so how that slipped through....I'd be talking to the yearbook staff and whoever did the layout of that page too. Sometimes kids are cruel.

The mother is OBSURD to think the school should have to pay for that. Panty lines or no panty lines...um spread open? PLEASE!! I wanna know how many people dared her to do it!
